Safe Pharmacy
What is the Safe Pharmacy initiative?
Safe Pharmacy involves community pharmacies providing a person who is experiencing domestic abuse with access to a phone and contact details for local support services. This enables them to make that important call e.g. to a family member, local specialist domestic violence services or An Garda Síochána.
LloydsPharmacy are delighted to be part of the Safe Pharmacy Initiative which will provide a safe space to anyone who requires it. The aim of this service is to encourage victims of Domestic Abuse and Coercive Control to come forward for help and to give them a safe space to reach out for support. This initiative is led by The Irish Pharmacy Union in partnership with An Garda Síochána, HSE and Safe Ireland.
Our designated consultation rooms will be used to give people a safe space that is visually private and also audibly private. This space will be offered to people in a confidential and non-judgmental manner
